Riva Gaming Group pioneers a new concept with personal handheld terminals

London bingo fans are trying out a new concept in their favourite game - an electronic bingo hall. The UK's first and sole fully-electronic bingo club has been opened in London and features 582 personal hand-held terminals which will replace the traditional paper bingo ticket.

The innovative technology is designed to help the industry present the game in a more contemporary manner as well as to offer customers a greater choice in terms of what they spend during a bingo night out, says operator Riva Gaming Group.

"Riva is at the forefront of bingo technology and product development," said Simon Hannah, CEO of Riva. "We are operating in a challenging environment but we believe there is still plenty of room for growth for operators who provide unique and exciting facilities.

"[The new facility at Sutton] provides our players with an exciting new bingo challenge and we are delighted with the number of players, both new and traditional, who are enjoying playing a part in the evolution of bingo."

20 more of the portable terminals will also be available to players in the external smoking area, circumventing the recently introduced smoking ban. |
